Members of the Duneland Historical Society contribute in the Society's efforts to collect, preserve, and promote local history, including volunteering at the Westchester Township History Museum, operated by the Westchester Public Library.

to 5 p.m. or by appointment.
The Museum has various opportunities for interested volunteers:
- Docent (give tours of the Brown Mansion and exhibit area)
- Inventory (help staff inventory its artifact collection)
- Updating Records and Transcription (work with the local history files and computer collection program to help update the Museum's records)
- Oral History (update the index, complete transcriptions, and/or conduct oral history interviews)
